Health, safety and the environment are all topics that are important to people who work in the water utilities sector. This course designed by the Water Industry and their skills sector body - Energy and Utility Skills is aimed to ensure that workers know the basics of these topics. Successful completion of the course will lead to the EUSR Card - SHEA Passport - Water.
Aims
This course is designed to provide basic knowledge and understanding of the Health, Safety and Environmental legislation applicable to work in Water Utilities.
Structure

The course consists of a series of slides using Microsoft PowerPoint software.

The test may be taken at a suitable location and time in privacy ensuring the individual is not isolated or embarrased.

Normally about six hours including the test.
Tutor
The tutor is an experienced lecturer who has nineteen years experience in the water company as H&S Adviser/ HSE Manager / HSE Trainer. He is a Chartered Health and Safety Practitioner, CMIOSH and an Associate of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.
